In the digital age, everybody's house is cluttered with numerous remotes. It's only a matter of time before you acquire enough remote to start to forget which remote does what. It's also common to misplace these.
Universal remotes do exist, but are not affordable, and are starting to show their age too. They don't support the latest tech, hence, starting to become less 'universal'.
The Volume Knob does what it's name suggests. It controls volume. But it also does more.

It's getting more and more cramped, and people notice this day to day. This yields concerns. If the growth continues like this, how will we accommodate it?
Since the introduction of Cobots in Industry 4.0, the sales of robotics have skyrocketed. In 2020, half a million Cobots have been purchased by manufacturing plants, colleges, and other industries.
Having this skyrocket in sales also makes the shortcomings in Robotics more visible. Robots these days are underpowered and have too much backlash for precision applications.
Enter the BLDC motor.
CNC machines are aiming to become more precise every generation. Often the focus is put on the servo's ballscrews’ runout. This does accomplish precision, but it only gets you so far. Tools get changed out, in CNC machines multiple times on a daily basis. Often these don't get the same attention as the servo's and ballscrews.
Why is this and how can this problem be solved?
3D-printing is popular nowadays, mainly due to the original Ultimaker which was launched way back in 2011. This has made prototyping, production and in recently, due to corona, even manufacturing very accessible.
It got many people interested in engineering. While 3D-printing is a good solution for lightweight products that are not precise or under stress, CNC-machining is still being used for large-scale manufacturing of products
that are.
The problem with CNC-machines is their accessibility. They cost is relatively high compared to 3D-printers. For this project, I’ll be working for the following month to make a CNC-machine that’s accessible whilst simultaneously meeting today’s standards.
